Matthias Büttner’s connection with Brazil began with a study program at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo as part of his M.A. in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. After completing his studies, Matthias returned to Brazil to work for the pharmaceutical group Roche where he held a number of senior positions including as Head of Controlling and Business Development and Head of the Diabetes Care business in Central America and the Caribbean. He later served as Director of Finance and Strategic Partnerships for a privately held pharmaceutical company in Brazil and helped to successfully divest the business. Most recently, Matthias has advised Swiss companies on Brazilian market entry and development strategies as Business Development Manager at the Swiss Business Hub in São Paulo. He speaks German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Kai Wang hails from Taipei, Taiwan, and has followed a career path across three continents, which has equipped him with a diverse skill set. After working for a PR firm in Taipei, Kai pursued his interest in communication at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, completing a Master’s degree with a focus on media studies, public relations and marketing. After moving to Brazil, he partnered with a Canadian company and co-founded a housing construction supply business in Greater Campinas region. Years of experience as a start-up entrepreneur have provided him with hands-on expertise in international importing and exporting, domestic distribution and retailing throughout Brazil, in addition to first-hand knowledge of financing and the labor market. During the same period, he developed an extensive network of business and personal contacts across the Asia Pacific region. Kai speaks Taiwanese Hokkien, Chinese, English and Portuguese.

Svenja Kalteich is from Germany and has previously lived in the United States and in Campinas, Brazil for more than 20 years. She is therefore extremely familiar with different mindsets and cultural environments. After studying Art History, Archeology and Anthropology at the University of Munich, she worked in advertising for several years and in an import/export company in Düsseldorf, Germany. In Brazil, she also established her own import/export business and holds a postgraduate degree in the Human Resources area. Svenja organises international meetings and conferences in various fields. She founded and served as the Ambassador of the Internations Group in Campinas, Brazil for many years. She is the co-author of 3 textbooks, published in Brazilian Portuguese focused on coaching. She is also an authorized Real Estate Broker and Valuer in Brazil. Svenja speaks German, Portuguese and English.
